Learn CNC and get CNC Software Information

Learn CNC and Learn CNC Basics has just gotten easier with Ivan’s new Learn Computer Numerical Control webpage that was added to his website recently. Get everything you need to know about learning computer numerical control when you visit this page on Ivan’s Computer Numerical Control website: CNC Software

Computer Numerical Control basics can be very intimidating when you start the learning process. Ivan discusses in his CNC Tutorial, that steep learning curve that he found when he first started investigating Computer Numerical Control. In order to learn Computer Numerical Control Ivan describes all of the various facets of CNC that he had to begin learning. To see the details on what these Computer Numerical Control facets are, visit his specific CNC Learning page at: CNC

Ivan takes the new CNCer through his CNC Learning process and walks the user through learning Computer Aided Design Software, Designing Parts, Computer Aided Manufacturing Software, Preparing Parts for Machining, Simulating Machining, Cleaning Parts, and much much more. See all of these steps at his Computer Numerical Control Webpage at: CNC Software

CNC Learning can be very intimidating. Thank goodness for Ivan Irons. Ivan take the complex and steep learning curve associated with Computer Numerical Control and breaks it down step by step so it’s less intimidating and functionally easier to learn. Ivan has also added a few articles to aid in the CNC Learning process. Some of these articles deal with CNC Basics, Understanding Computer Numerical Control, CNC DIY, and so on. Check back often for more articles and information on CNC Learning from Ivan.

Learn DIY CNC Machining – Hobby CNC Plasma Cutter

Ivan Irons at CNC Plasma has just completed the second phase of a new video tutorial series on a CNC Stomp Pad Project that is shot in sequential steps. This final phase highlights the machining and finishing steps of his project. It is a step-by-step personal account of a CNC project from the design phase to the end product. It contains useful design and machining tips for all CNC enthusiasts.

The video tutorial series was made to take beginner to intermediate CNC hobbyists through the major steps in the CNC process. Ivan narrates each video with technical, yet easy to understand descriptions of the process along with useful personal tips from his CNC experience. Ivan’s video series starts out with the design phase, which includes all of the computer design, CAD, and CAM work. These first four video’s were released earlier in the month and now the conclusion of the project has been released with video’s 5-10 which highlight the CNC plasma cutting, grinding, and end product. If you missed the first four video’s they can be viewed at: CNC Machining

Here is a summary of video’s 5-8:

Video 5: In this video Ivan goes through Mach 3 to look over the g-code. He checks to see if we have any problems before we go to the CNC Plasma Cutter.

Video 6: Ivan heads out to the shop and do some work. He shows how he zeros out the cnc plasma cutter and starts cutting the aluminum stomp pad. Once he is done, the stomp pad gets looked over and he notes the slag or dross we will have to grind off next.

Video 7: In this video Ivan rough grinds the cnc stomp pad to remove the dross. It’s a rough grind because later we will use a DA Sander to smooth it all out.

Video 8: During this CNC Video Segment Ivan sands our CNC Stomp Pad with a Dual Action (DA) sander. The CNC Plasma Cut part then is taken over to a stand. Then Ivan starts to look at different traction spikes and how they will look.

Video 9: In this video the holes are drilled in the CNC Stomp Pad. The holes are drilled and then Ivan cleansthem out.
We bend the stomp pad while drilling and we must hammer it flat next.

Video 10:Here is the final video in the CNC Stomp Pad Tutorial Video Series. In this video, Ivan goes over the final assembly of the stomp pad. Then we watch as we used double sided tape to adhere it to the snowboard. Finally we take a look at some final photos of the CNC Stomp Pad on the Snowboard.

Ivan has created a unique and personalized video tutorial series that that leaves the viewer anticipating the next video in the series. The complete video series from start to finish can be viewed at:CNC Router .  You can always check on Ivan’s website to find his latest CNC projects and Hobby CNC Information.
