Is It Possible To Reduce The Spindle Rotation Speed On A Cnc Router Below It’s Normal Speed Range?

I’m going to be using a CNC router to flycut some MDF and I want to create a slightly rough surface. One machine I am considering buying has a spindle rotation speed range of 6,000 to 24,000 RPM. Does anyone know if it is somehow possible to set the machine to cut at a slower rate?

Yes, get a dimmer switch and wire it in line on extension cord and you can control the speed by the amount of electricity you provide. Just like a light that is on a dimmer, the light is not special it just isn’t given all the juice. Oh, I should mention ensure you get a box for the switch. Easy stuff, and a cheap fix for your problem. Also this will not damage your router. good luck

I would talk to the manufacturers technical personnel and ask them. Using home remedies on professional equipment that will void the warranty is not how I would go.
