Back in the wars like WWI and WWII when there were not any CNC stuff how were the 1911’s made?

    They were made by machine tools operated by individuals working on written specifications.

    During ww2 the colt 1911 was made by the following companies at their manufacturing facilities; Singer Sewing Machine company, Remington, Springfield. and others.
