CNC Plans and Parts

Ever think of making your own CNC machine?

Here is where it all started for me:

While surfing the net one day I came across plans for making your own CNC machine. Please keep in mind this is a table top version. You're not gonna make this machine and start mass producing parts for Ford or Chevy. The one thing that did intrigue me was the fact that the "Z" axis or the cutting device was made from a Dremel tool! … Neat huh?

This can clearly be seen in the picture below.

DIY CNC Machine

I'd Like to start by saying "Thank you" to John Conrad Kleinbauer for making these plans available to the public.

John's machine can be made for about $125 !! His intent was to create a fully functional 3 axis CNC Machine simply and inexpensively.

I found it as a brilliant little side project for the home CNC hobbyist. The plans are well documented and the illustrations are very informative.

Hell, If you have your local plastics store (some hobby shops too) cut out the pieces, you could put this together in days! A great Father Son project!

BRAVO JOHN !!
