CNC Motion Control Information

Motion Control is Ivan’s latest information that he has added to his CNC Control webpage. CNC Motion Control is a webpage that was just released as is part of the last section of Ivan’s CNC Information website that deals with Computer Numerical Control. Motion Control and CNC go hand in hand. Ivan does a very good job of breaking down the topic of Motion Control, connecting it to Computer Numerical Control, and providing the end user with a good base of knowledge on the subject at hand. Members and non-members of CNC Information can go to this webpage and see for themselves the information that Ivan has provided on CNC Motion Control. The information can be found at the following webpage at CNC Information: Motion Control

Ivan has some of his own comments on Motion Control before he provides the CNCer with a few articles that dive deeper into motion control. Here is an excerpt from Ivan’s Motion Control wegpage that is found at: CNC Controlling Motion

“Motion control is a sub-field of automation, in which the position and/or velocity of machines are controlled using some type of device such as a hydraulic pump, linear actuator, or an electric motor, generally a servo. Motion control is an important part of robotics and CNC machine tools, however it is more complex than in the use of specialized machines, where the kinematics are usually simpler. The latter is often called General Motion Control (GMC). Motion control is widely used in the packaging, printing, textile and assembly industries. “
