CNC Video Tutorial Stomp Pad Project
Ivan Irons at has just completed the design phase of a new video tutorial series on a CNC Stomp Pad Project that is shot in sequential steps. It is a step-by-step personal account of a CNC project from the design phase to the end product. It contains useful design and machining tips for all CNC enthusiasts.

This first release contains 4 design videos:
Video 1: An overview of the CNC Project that is shot in a tutorial sequence. Ivan walks you through the entire process by discussing the Design, CAD, CAM, Control, CNC Plasma Cutting and then final assembly phase.
Video 2: Ivan starts the design of the CNC Stomp Pad. He uses Adobe Illustrator to sketch it out and prepare something that a CNC Plasma Cutter could follow.
Video 3: This video starts with the design in CAD. It gets resized to specific dimensions and then is converted it into a DXF File.

Learn CNC Machining Techniques, CNC Tooling Tips, and CNC Safety with New Tutorial Just Released
CNC Machining is the topic of choice for Video 6 in Ivan Irons CNC Ecourse video series. CNC Machining is the fifth and final step in the CNC Process and Ivan ensures to make a detailed depiction on the CNC Machining process. He covers topics such as the CNC Tooling you will need, the various types of professional and home CNC Machines, and CNC Machining safety.
Ivan spends a lot of time on taking the CNC student through the types of CNC Machines such as, CNC Plasma Cutter, CNC Mill, CNC Woodrouter, etc. He includes as many photo examples as possible and even shows CNC tooling and CNC Machines within his own shop.
CNC comes alive with Ivan’s account of what he calls “where the rubber meets the road” CNC Machining. All pertinent information on CNC Machining is included in Ivan’s CNC video tutorial with the added bonus of priceless personal tips from his own CNC Machining experience. All of the videos in Ivan’s CNC Ecourse can be found at: CNC Machine Tips
Ivan’s CNC Blog also has his latest video projects. Ivan continues to create more CNC projects, E-Video’s, and general CNC information that can be found on Ivan’s website at CNC Mill
CNC Controller and CNC Control Software Tutorial Video by Ivan Irons is Released
A new CNC Control video has been released by Ivan Irons. Video 5, in a series of 6, which break down the CNC process, revolves around CNC Control. Ivan breaks down a complex topic in this easy to follow tutorial video where he describes CNC Control Computers, CNC Control Software, and CNC Controllers. CNC Control Computers, CNC Control Software, and CNC Controllers are what Ivan spends breaking down and walking the CNC beginner through in this 5th video in his learn CNC ecourse. CNC Control is the 5th step in the CNC process that includes video’s on design, CAD, CAM, and Machining.
Video 3 and 4 on Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing Released by Ivan Irons
Ivan Irons has completed his third and fourth video in a series of 6 videos that that a user through the basics of CNC. Video’s 1 and 2 have previously been released and can be viewed at: CNC Videos
Video’s three and four discuss the important topic of CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing). Ivan takes you step by step through each video describing these complex topics. Here is brief summary of each video:
Video 3: In this CNC Basics Video Ivan takes the listener through CAD. CAD Stands for Computer Aided Design. Ivan explains in detail that during the CAD step we take our initial design and translate it into the computer. He walks you through this CNC step and shows you how one can change the design, resize it, save it, transfer it to someone else, etc. During this CAD video Ivan also teaches how to design parts, then assemblies, then groups, then machines.
Video 4:Ivan focuses video 4 on CAM. CAM stands for Computer Aided Manufacturing. During the CAM step of the CNC Process Ivan uses software to teach how our CNC Machine should move. There are a number of CAM Software packages on the market which Ivan walks the user through in this video. Ivan goes through CAM Software techniques where he defines things like stock, location, tooling, feed and speeds and the post processor in use.
The CNC basics E-Course is a video series that was created for the CNC Beginner to give a brief overview of the major steps of the CNC process. Ivan made sure to use simple language to explain complex processes and narrates each video with his own personal tips included. The six videos in the basic E-Course will cover the five prominent steps in CNC. Ivan seems to have a talent for taking a complex topic such as CNC, picking out the most important aspects, and breaking down those topics into laymen terms. Ivan has started a fantastic CNC basic E-course. Video’s 5 and 6 in the series are set to release in January of 2008. All of the videos in Ivan’s series plus more can be viewed at GCode Videos.
