Can You Help Me With A Question Relating To Cnc Machines?
I lost my job recently due to economic downturn. I was working with CNC Machines. I would like to continue in that line of work. I got a call about a job from a recruitment agency but they didn’t continue with an application to their client due to my lack of a specific type of experience. They wanted someone who had a knowlege of FANUC based cnc machines. What is FANUC and how can I find out more information about it?

The meaning of FANUC is the control system’s name and the machine they want you to operate or programme or set must be from this company. Fanuc control is the latest version of control system available for CNC machine. The places where you have worked could be with a differant brand control system like Siemen of Fagor. Each brand has their own parameters installed co-ordinating with the software and PLC(programmeable logic controller). So it is better you get across somebody who can explain to you about Fanuc controls and get acquinted. May be later you stand a better chance to get employed. Recession or no recession, CNC Operators are more sought after in our country.
